Ready for a postpartum experience that actually supports you?

Support that starts with a prenatal consult and meets you the moment you come home.

Hospital births can be a blessing when they are needed, but the postpartum care system is rough. Most families are sent home tired, sore, overwhelmed, and expected to figure things out on their own. That’s where we come in.

Our postpartum midwifery care package gives you the kind of steady, personal support most people never get after a hospital birth. You get hands-on care, calm reassurance, breastfeeding help, sleep guidance, and a provider who actually knows your story.

Many of the families we serve would have loved to have a home birth or birth center experience with a midwife, but opted for hospital birth for medical or other reasons. They still want midwifery care once they’re home. We love being part of that continuity.

This postpartum package is ideal if you:

  • Are giving birth in a hospital but want real midwife support afterward
  • Want in-home visits instead of dragging yourself and your newborn to an office
  • Want help with breastfeeding, sleep, and early parenting
  • Want someone to check in on your physical and emotional recovery
  • Want a provider who sees the whole family, not just the medical chart
  • Prefer warm, calm guidance over rushed, clinical check-ins

We see people across Maryland and DC, including Takoma Park, Silver Spring, Rockville, Hyattsville, College Park, Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Washington DC, and the greater metro area. We speak English and Spanish. All identities and all bodies welcome.

Postpartum Midwifery Package Cost:

Your investment for midwifery care postpartum is $2200 for the entire package.

A coded receipt is available so you can file an insurance claim.

Optional add-on: Hospital labor support

For $1500, a M.A.M.A.S. midwife will be on call for you from 36 weeks and come to the hospital as your support person and advocate.

We stay with you through labor as an additional steady presence. We offer comfort measures, reassurance, clear communication, and familiar support in a busy hospital environment.

This add-on fits beautifully with the postpartum package because you get continuity from labor into your first weeks home.

Why midwifery postpartum care matters

Most postpartum needs don’t show up at a single six-week checkup. They show up on day three when your milk comes in. On day five when sleep falls apart. On day nine when emotions feel huge. On day fourteen when breastfeeding hits a snag. And the last thing you want to do is leave home with a newborn for a medical appointment.

Midwives are trained to care for the whole family during this vulnerable time. We see your recovery, your baby’s needs, your mental health, and your growing confidence as one connected story. We want to help you prevent those stumbling blocks, not simply react to them after the fact.

  • Are giving birth in a hospital but want real midwife support afterward
  • Want in-home visits instead of dragging yourself and your newborn to an office
  • Want help with breastfeeding, sleep, and early parenting
